Mythical Clay Figures Workshop

Class Description

➤ 3-hour workshop, in English ➤ 2–4 participants, ages 10+ ➤ €50 per participant ➤ All materials included ➤ No prior experience needed This unique workshop offers a hands-on introduction to sculpting with clay. Participants will learn how to shape and build forms using pinching and the addition of clay elements, exploring simple yet expressive sculpting techniques. The workshop draws inspiration from the traditional ceramic figures of Barcelos, Portugal, known for their playful and symbolic character. Each participant will create their own unique figure, with plenty of room for imagination, improvisation, and personal interpretation, decorating and adding color to the finished piece. This workshop is suitable for both adults and children (10+), and can be enjoyed individually or as a shared creative experience. After the session, the pieces will remain in the studio to dry, be glazed, and professionally fired. Once ready, participants can collect their work-a one-of-a-kind ceramic piece to keep as a meaningful memory. Please allow 3 weeks for finishing your pieces, collect them from the studio or have them delivered to you at the standard shipping costs.
